LT3752-1 is a current mode PWM controller optimized for an active clamp forward converter topology. A DC/DC housekeeping controller is included for improved efficiency and performance. This is optimized for applications with input voltages greater than 100V. A programmable volt-second clamp allows primary switch duty cycles above 50% for high switch, transformer and rectifier utilization. Active clamp control reduces switch voltage stress and increases efficiency. A synchronous output is available for controlling secondary side synchronous rectification. Typical applications are offline and HV car battery isolated power supplies, 48V telecommunication isolated power supplies, industrial, military systems.

- Short-circuit (hiccup mode) overcurrent protection, programmable soft-start/stop
- Programmable OVLO and UVLO with hysteresis
- Synchronizable to an external clock
- Operational input voltage range from 10.5 to 16V (TA=25°C. VIN=12V, UVLO-VSEC=2.5V)
- VIN shutdown current (micropower) is 40µA max (UVLO-VSEC=0.2V)
- Unity-gain bandwidth is 2.5MHz typ, open-loop voltage gain is 85dB typ
- 38-lead plastic TSSOP package
- Temperature rating range from -40°C to 125°C
